Creating a Client Login.

Hi, I would like some help in creating a login area for my clients. I want them to be able to login in to an area where they can see how progress is getting on with there website. I am very new to web design so your help would be much appreciated. I was told I need to install a script language on my server, is this coorect? If so how do I do this? My hosting is with 1and1 Interent Ltd.

You have posted your question under Perl Articles instead of the Perl Forum.
I have moved it across for you.

Well, 1 and 1 would have to already have the script language installed. You will have to check with them and see if they have Perl, or PHP, or something else installled. After finding that out, you will have to start coding.

If you do it in Perl and need assistance with your code, simply come back here, post your code (in proper code tags) and we will help you troubleshoot.

Hint: When working with a web page, the scripting language would use CGI to interface with the site.

Regards,

Jeff

There are many canned scripts you can look into using, but the programming language has to be installed on the server first. Most servers have PHP so I suggest you look into using PHP.
