Need Help in handling File type button in web page : IEAutomation

Hi,

Need a pointer for managing File type button in HTML page, i am able to handle all the components in HTML using IEAutomation module like: text box, links, radio button, list box etc.

but i need help in handling File type (Upload button).

I'm guessing you can't. The input type=file tag is not controlled by a webpage but by the clients operating system.

you can try using basic automation -
maximze the window
send a mouse click to the browse button associaed with the input typr file

then enter the path in the dialog and press enter

so the control will have the file value

yu can seach for send keys and mouse control with vb or vb script

java (java.awt.Robot) can do it too. or maybe a perl module (am new to perl)
