Mod Perl

Hi,
i am new to perl and i have been working on mod perl. i have stuck at a problem where in i have to get the host name or the servername on which my web page is running as i dont want to hardcode the name in my script further so that i can run it on different servers.

i tried:
my $uri = $r->parsed_uri;
my hname = $uri->hostinfo;
This dint work out. so,then i tried
my $hname = $uri->hostname
But no success either..

Need help urgently

$ip_address = $r->get_remote_host;

with the above statement, u get remote host, which is logged in ur machine.
