Quite possibly. You may also need to use the DBD::DB2 module from CPAN.

I highly recommend you read up on the Perl basics and get acquainted with syntax before tackling DBI though. Since you have not posted any code though, this is as far as I can help you.

Hi,

which DB2 driver did you install? For accessing DB2 on Linux, Unix or Window$ {usually on remote port 50000 and above} you'll need the (free) runtime client only. For accessing DB2 on iSeries (AS/400) and zSeries (mainframe) {both usually using port 446} you'll need DB2 Connect.

Find more information about your possibilities and maybe needs at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/db...301chong2.html .

The module that numberwhun suggested is free. You can also read at IBM - DB2 Perl Database Interface to serach for more options.

I completely understand your urgency with regards to needing a solution, but not only do you need to realize that your urgency is just that, "your" urgency and not ours, but also, this is not a script writing service. We will help you with the code you are working on and even throw some your way now and again, but please don't say that you "need this code" and expect someone here to post it because it probably won't happen (unless of course you want to $$$ pay someone, but that would be off list).

Regards,

Jeff
