I do not know PERL - but have a website that is in PERL

I need to change some subscription dates -- but haven't a clue ...

Does this number mean anything date-wise?

Well, then I would be learning Perl in short order if you want to be supporting your website.

I need to change some subscription dates -- but haven't a clue ...
And since we cannot see your code, we have no idea what you are talking about.

Does this number mean anything date-wise?

1189681452
Well, that depends. Are you on a Unix machine? If so, then that could be a Unix time stamp ( which equivelant to the number of seconds that have occoured since the birth of Unix on January 1st, 1970). If it is, then you could use this website to convert it. When I input that number and click I get the date:

Thu, 13 Sep 2007 11:04:12 GMT

So, unless you can be much more specific about your issue, then that is about all the help I can provide at this time.

Regards,

Jeff

Yes, it is called epoch seconds which is what Jeff described. It's the number of seconds since a specific time in the past. Usually from Jan 1st, 1970 12:00 AM.

It's the date that perls time function returns. You have to use another function to convert it into a human readable format which might seem strange to you right now but it is the best way to preserve dates for later use.
