Perl Formmail

Hi Guys and Girls

I have written a formmail script which is working fine.

I am trying to modify the script so that an acknowledgement email is sent to the person filling the form in.

I have scoured the Internet to find some example code and am tearing my hair out!!

Is this script possible for what I want to do?

Thanks for all your help in advance

It is certainly possible. Have you taken a look over at CPAN yet? I did a quick look and found the Email::Send::SMTP module and the Net::SMTP module, both of which look good for what you want to do.

Don't ever forget to look at CPAN when trying to do something in Perl. Chances are, its been done already and if it hasn't then this is your chance to get a module in for something new.

Regards,

Jeff

It seems odd that you wrote a script that sends an email but you seem to not know how to send another email. However you send one email you would send another. Attach your script to a post and if it is not too long or too poorly written I will take a look, but I make no promises to do more than take a look.
