perlapp --gui option

4
Hi,
I am trying to created a perl exe program where some commands are called using backtick operator (like...$cmd=`cmd 2>&1`;)

I have generated a filename.exe using "perlapp --gui --force filename.pl"
But the same exe when stored in a shared folder on one machine and run using an UNC path on another machine doesnot run the commands properly if I am using the GUI(i.e double clicking the exe), but the commands run properly if I run the same from a command prompt.

Also if I leave out --gui option (perlapp --force filename.pl) the commands work fine from both command prompt and explorer. But console windows appears on the background which I dont need.

Any solutions :-)
