If you want to send form data to a script and have perl process the data, use CGI.

It sounds more like they want to use Perl to fill in the form, rather than having the form's field values go to Perl.

Greetings crazy4perl,

Start here: cpan lwptut

You'll probably end here: cpan WWW::Mechanize

Note that there is also an examples package and cookbook package for Mechanize.

If you want to process a form result to perl, you'll have to use cgi, and if you use perl to fill a form, you'll have to use cgi to!
