hello ,
thanks for your reply, here i am explaining fully

i have a pdf file (fname.pdf) which is having some text, checkboxs, tables.

so now i want to convert pdf text data to xml format.because we should send the data to database fields!!!!!!!!

for converting pdf to text we are using this command "pdftotext " in linux for getting the text only into fname.txt
now we are looking for converting text into xml format is that possible?

or is there any convertions directly to xml
like pdftoxml,htmltoxml

Ok, so you want Linux. Did it ever occur to you to add that to your search criteria? Think about it, if the search criteria are not returning what you want, you have to modify them.

If you search for "convert pdf to xml linu", then these are the search results. This isn't rocket science and you should really learn to use the search engine before expecting us to do your leg work for you.

Not that its a Perl solution either. Although, if the OP just wanted to get this working, he could use mono, but that's not something we support in this forum.
