The TCP/IP and COM Connections to the Servers

Hi, Can any one help me in solving my questions...my project is some thing like explained below:

My project configuration is something like shown below...

Clients <==TCP/IP==>.Net Message Server <==COM==> Various Servers

The connections between Clients and the .Net message server is though TCP/TP protocol...and .Net message server connection to other servers is through COM.

I have 10 client applications and each client has arround 20 messages...those messages(request) will be sent to .Net Message Server, which will routes these requests to the various other Servers and gets the appropriate responses....these responses then distribute to the respective clients..

By keeping all input messages in the FLAT File.. I want to Automate the sending and receiving messages by developing the PERL script and also I want to compare the received messages against the existing good known results(messages).

My basic questions are....

Is it possible to automate this using PERL script? OR
Do you recomend any other scripting tool to automate this project?
How do I write a script to to connect TCP/IP protocol and COM?

Could any body please help me in taking the right decision?

Thanks in Advance,
SREDDY

Yes, it is possible.

I suggest that you check out this book: Network Programming with Perl

It's somewhat dated, as the threading functionality doesn't talk about perl 5.8's thread capability. But the network programming information is still the same today.
