I completely agree with Kevin. You have to be a lot more clear on what you are asking for. First, there is nothing outside the root directory except, possibly the rest of the computer, unless you are talking about a chroot'ed directory, in which you would quite possibly be out of luck since breaking out of a chroot'ed session would be a violation of security.

Again, please be more specific in asking your question so that we may assist you.
