Deleting a line from a file

HI ALL,

I want to delete any line in a file, in perl.
Please give me some efficient solutions for it (and not to copy the file to an array and delete the specific line from it and copy it back to file.)

Thank you.

use perls inplace editor:

http://www.perl.com/pub/a/2004/10/14/file_editing.html

or another possibility is Tie::File, which is a core perl module. Read the Tie::File documentation for details on it's use.

or post the code you have been trying to get help with your existing code.
