Quick Perl search with subdirectory capabilities

1
I am trying to create a search script to look through log files located in subdirectories. Then write a log files in the entries it finds.

This is a sample string of what I am looking for.
1808140a-1874-45b7d15a-1720-02455ecf

I know this is a very simple script but I just don't have the time to research it.

Ultimately I would like to feed it a text file with a list of strings above but I can wait on that.

Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it!

Saying that you do not have enough time to research is not going to encourage anyone to help you.

If you have a specific problem, please post your code and let us know what it is. Good luck.

I actually recently wrote a snippet that sounds close to what the OP wants, but once again, I don't have the time to expalin it:
