threads perl

Hola a todos!!!

Tengo un pequeño problema con los threads de perl.
He construido un pequeño programa en donde existe un proceso que lanza un
thread y necesito que ese thread
no se muera nunca.
Lo que me está sucediendo ahora es que despues de un
tiempo el hilo se muere, mientras que el proceso continúa ejecuntándose
bien.
He probado a lanzar el thread utilizando la funcion detach, pero sigo
obteniendo el mismo resultado.
Espero que haya alguien que conozca la solucion. Gracias!!!!
