Unfortunately, this is not a script writing service. Although, we will be happy to help you troubleshoot the code that you are working on. :-|)

For extracting text from a file, there are a number of ways you can do that. Since we don't know what the text looks like and what you are trying to extract, advice is minimal at this time. For inserting data into a database, you will probably want to read up on the DBI module on CPAN. That is the best way to interact with a database in Perl.

Why don't you do what you can and write your program. Then, when you get stuck, come back and post your code, letting us know where you are stuck. We can then give you the nudge you need or help you troubleshoot your issue.

hey, I need some ideas, suggestions for a task I am working at work these days. We want to do that in C or C++. I have several tables from a database (Oracle). I need to extract data from these tables, and then convert it into an XML file. We are now working on the TAGS that will compose this XML file and the mapping, that is the corresponding extracted data, associated to the TAGS.

Hi, I am working on a mobile application that consists of a number of handheld scanners, an Xml Web service and an Oracle 9i database in a highly secure environment. The .Net Compact Framework application running on the scanners executes Web service methods, which in turn execute Oracle database functions. The Web service and the Oracle database are running on separate servers. The Web service uses the Microsoft OLE DB driver for Oracle....

Hi, I was trying to overload concat operator ||(text, text) such a way that it behaves like Oracle. i.e. I want 'abc' || null to return 'abc' instead of null. I know that it is not the expected behaviour in postgres, but since I am migrating the database from oracle to postgres , I need this behaviour. But when I try to drop the existing || operator, I get the following

hi there, i have a huge large text file (350.000 lines) that i want to import to a MS Acccess Database, of course i don't want to use Access, but do it with C#. i already have tried the AddRow method or Insert, reading each line of the text file, the problem of course is velocity, it would take more than 4 hours to add all lines/records to the database.

Hello I am trying to build a system where I can full-text index documents with UTF8 or UTF16 data using Oracle Text. I am doing the filtering in a third-party component outside the database, so the I dont need filtering in Oracle, but only indexing. If I put file references to the filtered files in the database and index these (using FILE_DATASTORE), everything works fine. But I rather put the filtered data in the database, and index it...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
