translate this send into perl

How will I do this in perl?
print 1 line of context before and after regexp, with line number
# indicating where the regexp occurred (similar to "grep -A1 -B1")
sed -n -e '/regexp/{=;x;1!p;g;$!N; p;D;}' -e h

Thanks
Sundaram

See the documentation for s2p: perldoc s2p
I think this will do what you want.

Hello all! I'm in need of an algorithm to change windows-874 (Thai) encoding to UTF-8, without using PHPs iconv or similar functions. I've done the requisite googling and searching through the notes on php.net but nothing (that I could see) has turned up. Right now I'll be looking for pages explaining the inner workings of windows-874 in the hopes that I might be able to code the algorithm myself, but I thought I'd ask here as a last...

Hello- I, the inquirydog, would like to solicit suggestions for a new web page I am making: I am creating a simple website that will translate concepts between windows os's, Linux, and the Java language with all of its related technologies. The website is at http://members.dslextreme.com/users/inquirydog, and is a mock-version of the Rosetta stone, which indicates concepts from each "platform"

I'm sure this is a stretch, but is there some kind of component that I could install to translate from English to Spanish on the fly? I have a lot of equipment features and specifications that I could manually translate, but that's labor intensive. I know there are services were I can paste a URL and it will translate the page, but I don't want to send users away from the site, unless I could do so transparently. Does anyone else have...

Hi, I am building a site for a client which has an enquiry form on it. Normally I would something like PHP to send the form but the client doesn't want to pay for a server that supports PHP, so the form is sent using the mailto: command within the <form> tag. This sends the email fine but it is rather messey. Could I use javascript to tidy up the form output and then send an email with the contents, similar to the 'Mail' command in PHP?...

It looks as if there is no equivalent .Net regular expression method that is comparable to tr/// (Translate) in Perl. I was looking to squash a specific duplicate character in a string. In Perl its pretty trivial. $myString =~ tr/././s; This will essentially remove duplicate "." periods in a string. Doesn't

Hello, I have found a perl script and need to "translate" this to PHP. I try to do it step by step and the first part of it is this function (the whole script is found at http://nonsense.sourceforge.net/): ### Load and parse a datafile, slurping the contents into the %pool hash sub LoadDataFile { my $file = shift; $file = SafeFile( $file ) if $cgi_mode; open IN, $file or die "Error opening $file... $!\n"; local $/ = ''; ...

Hi, I have certain blocks of Spanish text, for example ¿Necesita agregar una impresora o copiadora adicional a su forma personalizada de orden? Presione aquí. Don't know if the backwards question mark and the accented "i" came through, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a site where I could cut and paste the above and it would spit back the corresponding html

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
