ORA-06519: active autonomous transaction detected and rolled back

Hi,
In our application creating the new user and granting the role to the new user.this i have done by instead of view,trigger and calling the procedure from trigger and declared the procedure as an autonomous transaction.this is working fine. but If update the user and want to grant the role for this I created new procedure and declared as autonomus.now I am getting the eroor

ORA-06519: active autonomous transaction detected and rolled back

If anyone help?
