Order in left and right joins

d.department_id (+) = e.department_id
what does dis mean????

How can there be department_id in employee table e, that is not in department table...

d.department_id = e.department_id (+)
for this i think there can be department_ids exist in department table d, that are not in employee table e


Is there any signifiance in its order??

The table with the (+) is the table that will return all records whether or not there is a matching record in the other table.

You have those descriptions mixed up. Flip them and the descriptions will be correct.
