String search query in oracle

we have two colums;1st - elements and 2nd - compounds. entries in elements are like - C, N, Pb, Ca etc. and entries in compounds are like - CN, CNZn, CNO, CaN etc..
then we make a query which will return us the combination of colum1 in colum 2
so for our example CN, CaN we be output..
you have to design the query which will return us the comination of colum1 (elements) in colum2 (copounds).. all possible.
In column2 there may be single element also. for example if there was C in colum2 then it will also reflect in output.
