Sql developer and oracle 9i

Im trying to migrate my access schema to oracle 9i using sql dev 2.1. The sql dev 2.1 create an output that is compatible with oracle 10g. It is created function with regexpr_Instr which is not available in 9i. How do i suppress this or is there any other alternate ways to overcome this?
