How to know wich Oracle Client release is used ?

On a PC, we've got 2 different releases of Oracle Client installed.
We have softwares that don't ask during the install wich release of
Oracle must be used.
When we launch these softwares, how can we know wich release of Oracle
is really used ?

o great! -- now i find the english version!

my attempt to answer the french version focused on the database version

similar issue here, the version of oracle client depends on the environment
settings, specifically, the default oracle home, if launching from the GUI,
or whatever environment is set up in any batch (command) file that starts
the application client interface
