Hi Niy
You can get a job in india..Follow the job get yourself a work permit
to work in india..:-) before the indians close the quota of green
cards for the current year :-)
heheh just kidding listen to what mark says and additionally.here is
what i have to say.
Dont get worried about outsourcing. The indians and low cost countries
at this stage seem invincible with their unique value propositon of
low IT cost.Business always work that way world over .simple priciples
of modern economics capital moves in search of (LOW) cost labour
..folks in developed countries get greedier and greedier as they want
everything at lower and lower costs while investor and stake holders
get greedier and greedier as they want more returns from their
investment .Corporations have no choice but to outsource top low cost
countries..i remember eagles here we are the prisoners here of our own
device..
Anyway the trick is being multi-skilled as mark rightly pointed out.
1)Follow marks suggestions
2)Pick up other databases like sybase,db2 or sql server as this way
your resilince power to falling market share of oracle is greatly
increased
currently i am doing number 2.dont be surprised i am doing this
becoz..it will not be far when indians get greedier and greedier and
demand at a lower cost and corporations start moving thier business to
ethopia..:-) and we decide that we might have to require a work permit
to work in ethopia..
welcome to ethopia :-)
regards
Hrishy
