8i and SuSE 9 Pro

Anyone try this yet. I try and run ./runInstaller and it just sits there at
the expanding oracle.swd.... I left it for maybe 20 minutes and nothing.

I thought it might be that SuSE 9 ships with Java 1.4.2 so I pulled 1.1.8
off of my 8.0 Pro disks configured 9 to use it but still the same thing. I
also have done the unset LANG bit.

I had 8i running on 8 Pro.
Thanks.

Try this , it should get your installer crusing.
on sh

export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
on tcsh

setenv LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
