Session Defaults

Is there a file that I can use to set defaults for a SQLPlus session
on my computer? For example, every time I launch sqlplus from windows
(or unix), I want -
set serveroutput on, define _editor=lemmy, set pause on, etc.
I vaguely remember doing something like that years back, I am sure it
was on Oracle.

Thanks,
D A Singh
