How to imp from oracle 8.1.7 to 8.1.6 in Unix?


Hello,

My dbase version in 8.1.6 in Unix machine but while i was tring to
import a dmp file from version 8.1.7 (from Win200) an import error
occurred. IMP-00069-Could not convert to environment character
set's handle.

Can anybody please help me on how to resolve it?

Over n/w the import could be pretty slow, Copy the execute imp file from
8.1.6 server to 8.1.7 with some different name say "myimp"

Now run import on target server using "myimp"
