Difference between archive and redlolog?

Hi!

After playing with archives and redologs I am quite sure an archive is
a copy from a redolog, except for ONE byte. I discovered this after
comparing an archive which should be the same as the redolog I
compared it with.

Anybody any idea what this byte is?

Thanks!

Met vriendelijke groet / Regards,

Could be a beginning or closing SCN-number.

This sounds like 'I am not 100% sure' ?

Why bother? You are wasting your time.

I know I am wasting time; it is just curiosity. :)
