Hi
If you are running UNIX edit your .profile file and set
NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.US7ASCII according your local setting. In
Windows set this parameter in the windows registry. After that you
must sepcify the date format in the control file of the sqlldr in this
whay
filed1 DATE "YYYYMMDDHH24MISS", filed2 ...

I am trying to set the NLS_DATE_FORMAT to be used by 'sqlldr' (Since
my date format is not the default)
But it fails to take effect.

Also, I cannot set the DATE format in the column list in the sqlldr
control file since it is an autogenerated.
The control file is generated internally and passed to sqlldr.

I tried this:
1) export NLS_DATE_FORMAT="DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS"
2) checked in ENV and it seems to be there
3) run sqlldr to load the data which is present in above format

Result: no data is loaded, giving DATA error messages.

Is there a way to set the date format to be used by sqlldr (other than
in control file)

Any pointer would help.
