Form Builder Error -ORA - 12154 TNS could not resolve service name.

Dear All,

Plz help me with this oracle form builder installation?
I have installed SQL *PLUS Release 9.2.0.1.0 and then installed form builder 9.0.2.7.0. When i enter the following

username password database
scott tiger oracle
system seshadri (which i have set) oracle

I get the folowing error ;
ORA - 12154 TNS could not resolve service name.
I'm getting error when i enter nothing in database.
the same username and password is working with sql plus.
I heard that you have to copy the tnsnames.ora file from the sql plus folder to forms builder folder.Can anyone please suggest which tnsnames.ora file is to copied and where in the form builder folder should i paste it?

Many Thanks

The ORA-21254 is a very common error, always related to your local copy of the tnsnames.ora file, your listener configuration and your database name aliases.

Make sure that your listener is listening for the same service name that you are using.

Your service name might have an alias, so check for global (world) entries and local entries. Check $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora.

Check your global_name setting with this SQL:
select * from global_name;

I think you could able to solve this prob with it.
