I am having a lot of doubt in theoritical part.
1. how to view contents of listener.ora file? what is the purpose of using those files?
2. what is background_dump_dest,
core_dump_dest,
user_dump_dest


pls reply soon.......

You can find listener.ora file at this location
...\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\SAMPL E

go through the file to get the details .

this file contains the listener settings.
