Data Uploading

Hi everybody,

Here I am having a doubt that I have the data which is available in textformat(Notepad). Now I want to export this data in to Oracle table. How to do it ? Can anybody explain ? Please help me.

You can use either external table and/or sqlloader.
External table probably is a bit easier and more convenient.

Hi,

if u r using toad its very easy.. in toad u have data loader.. so that u can upload data by applying comma between the data...

If u have full insert script written with data then you can give a statement like this

SQL@C:\path..........

to use either SQL*LOADER or EXTERNAL TABLE data should be in a specific format,

Hello ,

I have tried for Uploading the data from notepad (txtformat) into Oracle. But I am getting an error like

'SQL*LOADER-704: INTERNAL ERROR:ULCONNECT:OCISERVICEATTACH[0]
ORA-12154:TNS:COULD NOT RESOLVE SERVICE NAME.

PLEASE GIVE ME THE SOLUTION.
