update and insert within the same trigger

hi..
i have a problem with this simple trigger!

I wont to insert a row in the same table where I update a value.
The trigger is that:

CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER LOG_SPOSTAMENTI_NEW_DEST
AFTER
update of data_fine, luogo_spostamento on LOG_SPOSTAMENTI
for each row
begin
insert into LOG_SPOSTAMENTI(opera, data_inizio, luogo) values (:old.opera, :new.data_fine, :new.luogo_spostamento);
end;


the problem is that: the trigger make an error in runtime because i can't write in the same table...
i have try to write the new row in a temporary table and with a new trigger write that row in the original table, but the problem is the same.
What can i do?
