Find growth rate of a table

Hi Katara,

In the SYS owner there are some views like DBA_TABLES, DBA_INDEXES,
DBA_SEGMENTS etc:
You can just go through them . They may contain the dtails you want.

Try this code.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. SELECT BYTES  from dba_segments where SEGMENT_TYPE ='TABLE' AND SEGMENT_NAME   ='TABLENAME'
  2.  
DBA_SEGMENTS is a view.
To get the current size of the table the table must be analized first, only this this view gets refreshed.
Otherwise it returns previous data.
