SELECT query on joined tables

Hi,

i have Two tables :

EMP
name associative salary
--- ------ ----
arun member $500

kumar nonmember $400

manish member $40

nirmal member $78

akash member $380

king member $576



POSITION

date rank value
----- ------ ------
12/03/07 first 89

23/03/07 second 0

10/04/07 first 0

25/03/07 nil 49

30/04/07 fifth 36

22/04/07 second 3


I want to select all records in (EMP) and maximum date , value is not zero records in POSITION TABLE.

how can do it. I want query..Pls help.

I expecting reply..
