trigger a particular date

Hi,

I want to create a trigger in my applications.
my recruitment is following:

In a table emp every month particular(example 5th of every month) date is execute a trigger.

How can i do it. Am a new person in trigger concepts.pls coding ..

First of all u can't execute a trigger.

Trigger fires automatically when the concerned event(insert,update,delete) on which the trigger is based executes .

U can execute that command in a procedure and next go for job scheduling using

DBMS_JOBS----------upto 9i
or
DBMS_SCHEDULER-------------in 10g (DBMS_JOBS not available)

these are predefined packages.
