Manipulating long data type fields in query

Hello,
I am to modify the values of the field Z00_DATA or the table Z00 created as following :
CREATE TABLE "PLG01"."Z00"
( "Z00_DOC_NUMBER" CHAR(9 BYTE) NOT NULL ENABLE,
"Z00_NO_LINES" NUMBER(4,0),
"Z00_DATA_LEN" NUMBER(6,0),
"Z00_DATA" LONG
) ;

If it contains the character sequence '101 L', this sequence string should be replaced by '1010 L'. I tried first to retrieve the concerned record with the following statement :
select * from Z00 where Z00_DATA like '%101 L%'
and get the following error message :
Error starting at line 1 in command:
select * from Z00 where Z00_DATA like '%101 L%'
Error at Command Line:1 Column:24
Error report:
SQL Error: ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected NUMBER got LONG

How can I retrieve the concerned records ? And who can I then make the substitution ?
Thanks for helping me !
