Problem with 2 Oracle Clients installed on the same machine.

P: 2
I have two oracle clients installed on a windows 2003 Server.Namely oracle 8i client and oracle 9i client. The problem is that I have two applications running in IIS. One application creates an oracle connection object of oracle 8i which is an asp application. Another is a asp.net application and uses oracle.net provider to access the data or write the data. If i select 8i as the home then my asp.net application while saving data to the data base throws an error as "tns packet write failure". In case I select oralce 9i as the home then asp throws an error saying could not create component. Could you please help me out as it is very urgent.
