Hi

A generic protocol adapter error occurred.

Check addresses used for proper protocol specification. Before reporting this error, look at the error stack and check for lower level transport errors. For further details, turn on tracing and reexecute the operation. Turn off tracing when the operation is complete.

Hi
This error genrated when report server are accessing report data from database and out of 40 report 90% are working fine few reports which are having longer display time or taking large time or fetching huge data are giving error. Tracing is on and off but how to read the trace logs don't know. Second thing address are fine the ping and tnsping is coming ok. adapter command is working fine.

Test on listener is doing fine. other server are not giving error (authentication server and application server.) only report servers for log running reports giving problem.

Anything more you need tell me.......

and thanks for your reply......

Check from Reports perspective, weather any connections are missing or wrongly given when you feel everything is working fine.
