Regarding UTL_FILE Package in PLSQL

How to execute UTL_FILE Package in plsql?

Hi dkarthick

UTL_FILE package are used inside the procedure itself. So you write a procedure, use UTL_FILE package there and call the procedure from any other function or procedure as you do normally.

Hi,

UTL_FILE is pl/sql packsge.

Eg:

Decalre
cursor c1 is select * from emp;
v_file utl_file.file_type;
begin
v_file := utl_file.fopen('c:\utl_dir','emp.txt','w');
for r1 in c1 loop
utl_file.put_line(v_file,r1.empid||'|'||r1.ename|| '|''sal||

end loop;
ult_file.fclose(v_file);
end;

Complie this and execute it..
