no keyboard responce in terminal after switch boots

Hi, I am trying to install and configure a new H3C WX3024
wireless lan controller, I connect the serial cable straig from my computer to the console port everything boots up but when it reaches hit enter to beginner I key no keyboard responce. Does anyone know what could be the issue? I'm using x-shell and putty to login but same thing, any advice would be highly appreciated
