Usually, the manufacturer will have a product page for the specific model of laptop you're using. This product page also usually contains the links to download drivers. If not, the Toshiba page should have a 'drivers and support' page where you can again search the model of your laptop to find them.

I don't know about Win7, but in XP you could use Windows update to find many of these as well.

If that doesn't work you'll need to go to the individual component manufacturer's page to download them (for instance, go to the Toshiba page for your laptop, determine the hardware specifications for the NIC/HDD/Wireless/DVD/whatever else and then go to the component manufacturer's page to download.

For example, if (and as you did not post your model, this may not be accurate, so please research this yourself before following this exact example) the Toshiba page said your ethernet NIC was a Broadcom 590x you would need to go to Broadcom.com and then find the download for the 590x driver, download that to your laptop, and then install it.

Thank you sicarie.
i downloaded a wireless driver and afterwards installed it. it works and the laptop can connect to available wireless networks.

But now the problem is that you cannot create a wireless LAN. when you go to setup a new network, the option of adhoc(peer-to-peer) wireless network doesnot appear.

Any help??
