NAT, routes, subnets with virtual machines - how to?

I'm trying to set up my machines with vmwares to connect with each other and the internet on my job network.

My setup is as follows:

What should my routes look like in order to get them all on the same network? The router is currently on 192.168.1.254, and I'd like all units to be on the 192.168.1 net... Is that possible, or would they have to be on different nets?

The vmware on the macbookpro is currently on 192.168.196.*. I'd like to know how to control these addresses, how to change it (if I want) to .1.* or any other address?

I'm sorry this is a bit 101, but gotta start somewhere as they say.. Thanks!

So products like VMWare and VirtualBox usually utilize some form of bridged or NAT'd routing. The 'macbookbpro' 'acer' and 'samsung' devices should all be on the same subnet and able to talk to each other, and that can be validated through ifconfig/ipconfig/whatevermacsuse commands.

From there, I would suggest looking into each VM's network settings to determine what its IP is and how it's connected. Then you can set the type to what you want and assign the proper IP.
