Draytek 2820n Setup WAN2

178 100+
Hi,

I have just got a second line setup with a netgear router with static ip. I have the netgear router configured and working. I want to use this as my second connection on my draytek 2820n.

I am pretty sure I have the WAN>General Setup correct. The problem is in WAN>Internet Access>WAN2. Do I enter the username and password for my ISP or my netgear router and should I have assigned a static IP to my netgear router.

Static IPs always help, but aren't necessary (they'll just require manual updates when your ISP decides to change your DHCP-leased IP).

What's the issue with WAN2? What is your setup? Is it Internet to netgear to draytek to your PC?

I have recently done this. What you need to do is setup the netgear router as modem only.

To do this enter the go to the router page. In the browser you will see the address 192.168.0.1/start.htm. Change start.htm to mode.htm. Then choose modem only option.

Then add you ISP details to the WAN2 connection in the Draytek router.
