connect to internet via another PC hiding the real IP

Hi,

I have following problem: I play online games (Q3A), but I cannot connect to one particular server from my home PC. Disabling firewalls, antiviruses, etc. did not work, and the problem is present even on other two PCs at home which all share the same public IP (all are behind ADSL modem/router which has static public IP). Checking the game log doesn't help at all, IP is not banned, the server for some reason just doesn't respond. But when I try connecting to that server at college, it connects with no problems, with the same game configuration and the same OS. So apparently, the problem is my home IP.

Since I have been unable to contact the server's admins, my question is: is there any possibility to connect to the game server via the college PC? Kinda use it as proxy? Or use virtual private network? Is it possible to connect my home PC to internet through college PC so it is recognized as the college PC? Is there any way to "hide" my IP using the other computer? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I would recommend pinging the IP from your home, and then escalating to your ISP - you pay for internet service, and if you pay specifically to access this site, they should make it available to you - or provide you with a good reason why it is not.

Alternatively, you could connect through a number of public proxies, though you should be aware of what those are doing, and preferably, who is behind them.

ping works and tracert as well, so my ISP is not blocking anything (probably). Maybe it could somehow block the ip and port combination, but I don't know how to verify it. The tracert output at home and at college are the same except for the few routers at the beginning.
