wireless sensor networks

I would like to know how to create a network with n nodes using matlab.....

Your question as you stated it is too vague to give any sort of concise and straightforward answer. I would recommend returning to your class notes and the matlab documentation and create both a small and large (huge) network, and then find a way to make that scale from the small to the large.

I personally haven't used matlab, but that seems like a rather interesting way to go about this - if you're looking to physically set up these devices, you'll need wireless points, some sort of connection to the internet (if you want), and then the physical hosts. You'll need to know the proper subnet for 'n' hosts, and what IP addressing scheme you'll need.

If you need help with matlab, I'd recommend the Miscellaneous Questions forum. Any of the networking questions such as subnet or IP addressing, or wireless hardware can be asked here.
