make my domain name point to a webpage

First of all, im pretty new to all this. I have recently aquired a domain name, and now I want to make it point to a webpage that I have (for instance http://www.yahoo.com/mywebpage/~kudos). I have figured out that I can forward it (redirect or cloack) but I find it unsatisfactory, for instance if I redirect it www.kudos.com -> http://www.yahoo.com/mywebpage/~kudos, I cannot access http://www.yahoo.com/mywebpage/~kudos/hello.gif as www.kudos.com/hello.gif. Is there anyway to setup my webpage so this will work?

look at the html of the page...if the location of the hello.gif is shown as www.kudos.com/hello.gif change it to /hello.gif or if it is not in the root of the web site, say you have a folder called images then it would be /images/hello.gif.

I might have expressed myself unclear, the problem is if I want to give people the link in a mail( for instance www.kudos.com/a.zip)

you would need a redirect, which it sounds like you said in your first post you already did
