Need help with Ruckus Modem

Hi,

I have 2 hosts running on debian OS
I have 2 Ruckus modems.

I have set the following in the /etc/network/interfaces

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

DHCP gets configured as set the local N/w address which is reachable to the modem.
i.e the Modem has the addr as X.X.X.Y
so the m/c gets set up with the address X.X.X.Y/24

I have 2 issues:
Firstly when i configure the second m/c with the other modem, then can the two machines communicate with each other ??

Secondly, i have a udp server and client program running on two hosts.
Can they communicate with each other using UDP communication ??

Please provide ur inputs/comments?

Thanks in advance
Priya

HEllo, Priya!

That's a little above my head, but do stay tuned. Other experts here will see your post and will come to your aid.

Might give me some time to search soem options for you.

I would like to add. I think it's trial and error when it comes to networking, as long as you're not goingto thumb through data in the process, I'd say give it a whirl and see where it gets you.

In a bit!
