help with citrix

i need a little help if possible, im trying to upgrade a custom made application on a citrix service server so the idea being the server should be cleared and the new application installed!

The only problem is I cant clear the whole server otherwise none of the tills will work

The problem is I have an update of the software I need to put over the outdated one but as the old one was deployed using citrix it makes it hard to uninstall!

Any help is appreciated thanks!

I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question. Citrix is a "mainframe-esque" environment. The applications sit on a single server farm, and then allow remote connections to those applications. How was the old application "deployed" with Citrix? If it is just a published app on your farm, you just need to use Citrix's built-in uninstall. What version of Presentation Server are you running?

It also seems like you are trying to backup data as well? In that case you can either backup the whole system, perform the uninstall, and revert to the backup if anything goes wrong, or you can save the till files somewhere (it's been a year or so since I did anything with Citrix, so I'm not entirely sure if that's part of your custom app, or if it's something in PS...), and stick them back in there when the new app is loaded (though that's not recommended). In either case, make sure you have a good backup to work with - you might even want to try restoring it to a dev box just to make sure you have the image and all the data.
