ya shure and thanks for reply.
The Agent is running in one system, and SNMPc Manager is running in another system. through SNMPc Manager i am accessing objects of the AGent by selecting the MIB Browser. In the MIB Browser i am selecting one object and pressing the GET button , instead of giving the details of that object, it is giving an ERROR MSG: Unknown SNMP Object Identifier.
I think it is unable to match that Object Where i am unable undestand.
u can give as many suggetons as possible. i will chek it out.

Sorry for the late reply..

not all OIDs are supported by all software as in.. there could be a standard OID for free disk space on drive D but if there is no drive D it will error.
Using this as an example...

Also have you tryed walking the server yet?
If you are unsure of what a walk is incase you dont know... it finds any snmp OIDS it supports... most of the time thats built into the mib browser though.

So my question to you now is what software are you running?

chinnakanna,my suggestion is that, the SNMP software is not compactible to the system you are using the Linux. thank you.
