Vista network to XP problems

I had a three station XP network with a NAS attached that worked fine.
Then I replaced one of the PCs with a Vista computer.

The Vista PC which has a USB Linksys WiFi and can connect to the Linksys SRX-200 router for Internet access but cannot see any other PC in the network.

I have tried clicking on all the sharing and discovery buttons and even took down any firewalls temporarily and still no luck.

The Vista cannot ping any other PC and no other XP PC can ping the Vista.

Anyone have any ideas?

try to do a search for the other computers by ip address if that works

it could be you need to switch to netbios over tcp/ip and if that does not work

check your dns and default gateway for the card, usually if they are not set they give connection issues, the internet router ususally does not require this but sometimes other pcs look for these.

run ipconfig /all on the card and make sure the pcs are ont he same network and you could see if there a differences when you run these on both pcs
