AD Schema Question...

Hey everyone...

I've been working on trying to extend my DC's AD schema, so i can integrate Exchange 2003 and finally get off MS mail. I've got AD setup the way i need it with the groups and the Distribution lists etc..

Now I followed the instructions listed here at Technet Article

However .. When i get to Step 5 which specifies " under Available Standalone Snap-ins, double click Active directory Schema, click close and then click okay. "

There is no Active Directory Schema option there...
Am i missing something here? Need help soon here. MS Mail sucks!

Did you try typing in

# regsvr32 schmmgmt.dll

With a space? From the Regsvr32 TechNet page
To register the .dll for the Active Directory Schema, type:

regsvr32 schmmgmt.dll
If that didn't work, the only other thing I could think of would be, is it a part of one of the Add/Remove Windows Components options? I'm not sure which one that would be, though...

Actually I did type in the regsvr32 schmmgmt.dll command and it errored out when it tried to register that DLL file in the registry...

So i dont know if that would have anything to do with it or not..
